State Representative Johnny Garrett (R-Goodlettsville), who is running for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District, announced Monday that his campaign has approximately $1,400,000 in cash on hand with less than four months to go until the August 6 Republican primary.

In a press release, Garrett’s campaign said it raised nearly $520,000 during the first quarter of 2026, adding to the over $1 million cash on hand the campaign reported at the beginning of the year after it had raised $450,000 during the fourth quarter of 2025 and over $725,000 during the previous quarter.

Garrett acknowledged the fundraising numbers in a statement released by his campaign, saying, “This campaign is full steam ahead and not slowing down…Thank you for being part of Team Garrett and for helping us bring a little more Tennessee to D.C.”

“I’m deeply grateful for the generosity and overwhelming support we’ve seen so far. I’m ready to make you proud in Washington by continuing to deliver real, tangible results, just as I’ve done here in Tennessee,” Garrett said.

“As I travel across the 6th, I’m meeting with the people who are the heart and soul of this district and the ones making this campaign possible! The 6th district deserves a warrior for President Trump– someone who will stand strong, deliver results, and always have your back,” he added.

Garrett is one of four Republican candidates running in the August 6 primary for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District, along with State Executive Committee woman Natisha Brooks, U.S. Marine Corps veteran Jon Henry, and former Tennessee congressman Van Hilleary.

The 6th District is currently represented in Congress by Republican U.S. Representative John Rose (R-TN-06), who has decided to run for Tennessee governor in 2026.

Tennesseans have until July 7 to register to vote in the August 6 primary elections. Early voting will run from July 17 through August 1.
